A new chapter for OttawaStart.com

OttawaStart.com has changed a lot in the 20 years since it was founded. We started as a portal site, full of links to all sorts of other web destinations. The motto: “The City’s Most Useful Website!”

We evolved quite a bit, along with the internet at large. We eventually became a blog, first on the Blogspot platform before moving to Wordpress (and now Hugo). Although it’s changed a lot, we still strive to be what our motto in 1998 said we were: The City’s Most Useful Website!

We are pleased to announce the next chapter in OttawaStart’s books. Effective today, Devyn Barrie – editor since 2016 – will be taking over as owner and publisher from Glen Gower, who founded the site.

Readers will notice a new site design, which offers greater speed and brings the site into a more modern frame.

We hope you will continue to enjoy visiting us as we enter this new chapter together.
