25 Days of Ottawa Christmas Lights #7: Ottawa City Hall

Every day in December leading up to Christmas, local photographer Christophe Ledent will be sharing a photo and story about Ottawa Christmas lights. ( You can see all the photos so far here. )

You have probably driven beside this building dozens of times and never really noticed it. This holiday season, you won’t be able to _ not _ notice it with all its purple wonder. I’ve got to give it to the city of Ottawa, the west side of their building facing Elgin Street looks amazing!

** Update: ** A reader tells us that these aren’t in fact Christmas lights. They’re actually purple lights from November showing awareness for Pancreatic Cancer. Ottawa as well as many other cities across Canada participate by lighting up buildings to raise awareness of this deadly disease. **
