1st ANNUAL ST. LAWRENCE INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL ANNOUNCES CALL FOR ENTRIES

Canton, NY – The first annual St. Lawrence International Film Festival (October 22-25, 2015) taking place on both sides of the US/Canada border announces its open Call for Entries in the categories of Feature, Short, and Digital projects.

Events for the Festival are scheduled to take place in Ottawa,ON, Canton, NY, Potsdam, NY and Brockville, ON. In addition to competition screenings, the Festival will feature an Opening Gala, panel discussions, Q & A’s, a Career Achievement Award given to a film industry notable, an Awards Ceremony and closing party over its three-

day calendar.

The submission period begins April 1, 2015. Official Selections will be announced and filmmakers notified by September 15, 2015. Filmmakers may submit their projects online via the Festival’s website:

](http://www.stlawrencefilm.com/) Feature films are designated as projects over 40 minutes in length; short films are projects under 40 minutes in length. Digital Projects are pilot episodes for serialized content made specifically for digital distribution and consumption.

 

 

 

Student entries – open this year only to those currently enrolled in St. Lawrence University, SUNY Canton, Clarkson University or SUNY Potsdam have been accepted for several months, with a final deadline of April 24. Students from any other schools are encouraged to submit their work in the open Shorts category.

About festival Executive Director Adam Paul:

 

With over 20 years of experience in front of and behind the camera, Adam Paul brings a lifelong love of film and the entertainment industry to the St. Lawrence International Film Festival. Paul has made his mark as a writer, producer, director and actor. His work has screened at major international film festivals, on national television and Off Broadway.

 

Paul created and starred in the Starz Network’s half hour comedy _ Hollywood Residential _ and has appeared in scores of television shows, films and commercials, including _ How I Met Your Mother, One for the Money, The Informant!, Bones, Workaholics, Entourage _ and _ Curb Your Enthusiasm _ .
