If you’re a downhill ski fan, you have plenty of hills to choose from nearby. We’re also within a day’s drive of some great hills further north in Quebec and the Eastern United States. If you’re a cross-country ski fan, you’ll enjoy the many kilometres of trails within Ottawa’s Greenbelt, Gatineau Park, and along our recreation paths.

Thanks for the article. If you guys drop by Mont Tremblant, make sure to give a call to the people at Tremblant Sunstar for your stay.

This is such a great round-up of places to ski around the city! We are so lucky to have such access to nature with the Greenbelt city wide. And yes, Mooney’s Bay is super as you can do night skiing there also! Don’t forget to let your readers know about the Orleans initiative that’s similar to the SJAM trail! They are trying to raise $5000 for 8 km trail from Green’s Creek to Trim Road.

Another great place for people downtown is the Lac Leamy trails – really close – just across the bridge in Gatineau. (They also rent equipment!) I’ve written a couple of posts about skiing in the city at Wild. Here. including groups to go skiing with, where you can get free passes and other tips to enjoy all Ottawa has to offer! Hope this helps others to get out enjoy the snow!
