At the Schoolhouse is a one stop Wedding site and an Elegant &
Romantic alternative to City Hall. We have an Officiant/Celebrant
who will perform the ceremony, At the Schoolhouse, including Civil
Marriages, or she can travel to the location of your choice. The Schoolhouse
can also be rented by the hour, for weddings and other special events.
At the Schoolhouse is a Historic building with Contemporary Décor
and Urban Elegance and is a unique way to hold a smaller Event, which
can include a trendy cocktail party, in your private lounge.

of Ottawa - Civil Marriage Ceremonies
The City of Ottawa now offers civil marriage ceremonies at Ottawa
City Hall, 110 Laurier Ave. West. Previously, only Judges and Justices-of-the-Peace
were allowed to solemnize civil marriages. City staff, trained and
designated by the City Clerk, act as officiants to solemnize the ceremony.
The civil marriage service is a non-denominational, and solemn, ceremony,
which adheres to the requirements of the Ministry of Government Services.
Ceremonies are available in either English or French.
