Update on LeBreton Flats

(press release)

The National Capital Commission (NCC) would like to thank you for your participation in the public consultations on the redevelopment of LeBreton Flats, and for your invaluable contribution to this project.

Today, the NCC’s Board of Directors authorized the NCC to begin negotiations for the redevelopment of LeBreton Flats with RendezVous LeBreton Group, and to report back to the Board in November 2016.

The evaluation committee assessed both proposals and ranked RendezVous LeBreton Group’s proposal highest.

The evaluation committee benefited tremendously from the extensive comments provided by the public and stakeholders earlier this year.

A total of 7,939 Canadians submitted written comments on the proposals, and more than 3,000 participated in the open house and live broadcast in January and February 2016.

Next steps

2016–2017 Negotiations
2016–2017 Consultations with Aboriginal groups
2017–2018 Federal approvals and announcement of successful proponent
2017-2019 Municipal approval process (official plan and zoning amendments)

We will continue to keep you updated on the project as it progresses.

So, corrupt, do-nothing Watson says Ottawans will be on the hook for the LeBreton clean up. Really? Maybe this useless idiot can contract out his USUAL kaybec buddies to do the clean up or the idiot can get on his hands and knees and do it himself. What an absolute pea-brained idiot !!!!
