UPDATED: Several, including child, injured in dog attack in Orleans

_ (Via Ottawa Police) _ (Ottawa)—The Ottawa Police Service responded to a call for service involving dog attacks.

Several people, including a child, are reported to have been injured this morning by two large dogs.

Both animals were loose in the Orleans area bordered by 10th Line Road, Tompkins Avenue,

Des Epinettes Avenue, and Duford Road when the attacks occurred this morning at about 11:15 AM. Some of the injuries are reported to be serious.

Patrol officers were called to the scene and were able to locate and put down both of the large animals.

Any victims of this attack are asked to contact Ottawa Police.

The Ottawa Paramedic Service Communications Center received a call today August 13

, 2016 at 11:15 for a patient who had been attacked by dogs.

On arrival Paramedics treated a 25 year old female with severe lacerations to both upper arms, she also had lacerations to her head, face, back  and buttocks.

A second patient, a 66 year old male who attempted to help the first patient had lacerations to his left knee.

Both patients were treated by paramedics and transported to hospital in stable condition.

The Ottawa Police Service is investigating the incident.
