A reader sent us this pic of the old awning from The Place Next Door, left rather unceremoniously in a dumpster on Rideau Street. (Photo by Jack O’Sullivan.)

(The restaurant was torn down, and will be replaced soon by condos.) We’ve had a few conflicting emails from our readers about whether or not the restaurant building is being torn down, or replaced with another restaurant, or condos, or an empty lot, or if it was just the sign coming down. Can anyone tell us the correct answer?
