Beginning on Monday, November 24, motorists using the Sir John A. Macdonald Parkway will experience localized lane reductions in both directions. These localized lane closures are required for overpass inspection and to allow the replacement of catch basins along the parkway. The closures will continue until Friday, December 12.

These lane reductions will take place over a distance of 100 metres. Traffic cones and directional signage will be on site to direct traffic and to ensure worker safety.

  • One lane will remain open at all times in the direction affected by the closure.
  • The closures of traffic lanes of the overpass located above the old Transitway road near the Prince of Wales Bridge (260 metres west of Vimy Place and the Sir John A. Macdonald Parkway) will alternate between eastbound and westbound directions.
