Gallery 101 Frames - Silent Art Auction & Party December 4

GALLERY 101 hosts its Annual Silent Art Auction and Party at the gallery (236 Nepean Street, between Bank and Kent) on Saturday, December 4 at 7pm.

Artworks will be available for preview from Tuesday, November 30 to Friday, December 3, 2004 10am-8pm daily.

This annual silent auction is one of Gallery 101’s most popular and exciting events, featuring artworks by national and internationally recognized artists, as well as emerging contemporary artists. More than 150 works by local artists will be auctioned through a silent bidding process.

Proceeds from the auction help Gallery 101 to maintain the services it provides to artists and the community and helps toward building our sustainability.

New this year, our raffle has over 16 prizes, each valued from $50-$150, that will be drawn throughout the evening. Items include gift certificates to local fine cuisine restaurants, bookstores, and framing and art supply stores.

The evening will also include dancing to the grooves of DJ Lance Baptiste, Mercury Lounge’s resident DJ and pioneer of the deep jazz movement in Ottawa. Lance has spent much of his 15 plus years in the biz cultivating the masses via radio through his live DJ sets of soul, funk, house and of course jazz. A great selection of hors d’œuvres provided by local restaurants and unique Ontario wines selected by our guest Sommeliers will also be featured this year. Join us to raise funds for Gallery 101 and celebrate community spirit.
