Are you looking for an environmentally sensitive way to dispose of unwanted items like cleaning products, lawn fertilizers, pool chemicals, old computers, printers or fax machines? The City of Ottawa can help! During Waste Reduction Week, from October 19 to 25, the City of Ottawa is inviting the general public consider how they can do more to reduce, reuse and recycle. At the City of Ottawa we are doing our part through programs such as the Household Hazardous Waste Depots, E-Waste Depots, Public Open Houses, Give-Away Weekend and the Take it Back! Program. This year Waste Reduction Week in Ottawa offers numerous opportunities to reduce, reuse and recycle. Through a series of events the City aims to engage our residents about the environmental and social ramifications of wasteful practices and adopt more environmentally conscious choices.
