GREY CUP 2004: CHEER EXTRAVAGANZA SET FOR FRIDAY NIGHT

Grey
Cup week will feature all facets of the game of football. Even those who pump up
the crowds will be showcased during the Kickin’ It In The Capital Grey Cup Festival
this week.
The
Cheer Extravaganza is scheduled for
Friday night, November 19th at the
Ottawa
Adult
High
School
(300
Rochester Street)
from 7
p.m.
to 10
p.m.
As the premiere dance event on the festival slate, the extravaganza will provide
an opportunity for fans to see the nine CFL dance and cheer teams in action.
There will also be some local talent from across the city taking
part.
“We
are looking forward to welcoming the different dance and cheer groups from
across Canada,”
said Isabelle
Cyr, coordinator of the Renegades’
Molson Canadian Light Dance Team.
“The Cheer Extravaganza should be a real enjoyable event and people will
get to see some of the top dancers from all over the
country.”
Tickets are available to
the Cheer Extravaganza and can be purchased inperson Renegades head offices in
Ottawa
(1015 Bank
Street, adjacent to Frank Clair
Stadium) or by phoning 613-231-5608. They are also available at the door the
evening of the event. The cost is $13 for adults and $8 for youth
(16-and-under).

The 92nd Grey Cup Game will be
held on Sunday, November 21 at Frank Clair Stadium in
Ottawa. The Renegades are honoured to
host Canada’s premiere sporting festival and
event. As an organization, the Renegades hope to put on a show that will be
regarded as one of the best Grey Cup festivals ever. In
Ottawa, the Kickin’ it in the Capital
Grey Cup Festival begins on Wednesday, November 17, featuring celebration
events at various locales throughout the city, leading up to the game.
