Grey Cup week will feature all facets of the game of football. Even those who pump up the crowds will be showcased during the Kickin’ It In The Capital Grey Cup Festival this week.

The Cheer Extravaganza is scheduled for Friday night, November 19th at the Ottawa Adult High School (300 Rochester Street) from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. As the premiere dance event on the festival slate, the extravaganza will provide an opportunity for fans to see the nine CFL dance and cheer teams in action. There will also be some local talent from across the city taking part.

“We are looking forward to welcoming the different dance and cheer groups from across Canada,” said Isabelle Cyr, coordinator of the Renegades’ Molson Canadian Light Dance Team.  “The Cheer Extravaganza should be a real enjoyable event and people will get to see some of the top dancers from all over the country.”

Tickets are available to the Cheer Extravaganza and can be purchased inperson Renegades head offices in Ottawa (1015 Bank Street, adjacent to Frank Clair Stadium) or by phoning 613-231-5608. They are also available at the door the evening of the event. The cost is $13 for adults and $8 for youth (16-and-under).
