The National Capital Commission (NCC) and American Express have once again teamed up to offer residents and visitors a chance to warm up to Winterlude and savour the fine cuisine of many of the Capital Region’s restaurants. This year, members of the public will be able to choose from exclusive prix fixe menus or select special fine dining experiences at participating restaurants.

Exclusive prix fixe menus

Presented by American Express for a third consecutive year, the Taste of Winterlude program is an initiative aimed to entice residents and visitors to dine out and perhaps try a restaurant that they have yet to experience.  This program continues to grow, 47 restaurants have signed-up for this program this year and have created special prix fixe menus from January 24 to February 10, 2008.

For the first time this year, American Express Canada is proud to join participating restaurants in the Taste of Winterlude dining program with a portion of Cardmember purchases going to support the Canadian Association of Food Banks.

“Being an active member of the community is important to American Express,” said Tracey Szczur, Director, Merchant Services Marketing, American Express Canada. “We are thrilled to do our part to celebrate winter and help bring business to local merchants while supporting a worthy cause.”

Members of the public wishing to order the Taste of Winterlude menu or make reservations should do so by calling the participating restaurant of their choice in advance.  List of participating restaurants and menus:www.winterlude.gc.ca/taste.
