ADDISON:
The story of Addison begins in the fall of 2000, Dave and Dylan met in
a noisy and cluttered high school guitar class. Dave’s churning
creative power had produced an impressive collection of songs; now, he
sought to set them loose in a band setting. Dave and Dylan met Steph,
formally of HARRISON fame, on a local music forum. By January of 2003,
Dylan had recruited Keith, a friend-of-a-friend, to fill out the band’s
sound with bass goodness and soulful crooning. The bass worked, the
crooning did not – a compromise was made.
Now four members strong, Addison began to get together when and where
they could, in an effort to polish Dave’s solo efforts into finely
honed band productions. Addison has continued to work on new material,
re-work old material, and recycle most papers and plastics.
As the weather grows colder and the days shorter, Addison grows eager
to share its unique, acoustic-driven sounds. Addison is a
well-balanced, important source of nutrients and fresh rock. Best when
served live, Addison’s sound promises to deliver.

SAMANTHA MOORE:
Excerpted from The Ottawa Sun, June 8, 2003.
"The man who plucked Avril Lavigne from country karaoke obscurity and
propelled her toward singing stardom is hoping lightning will strike
twice.
Producer Cliff Fabri discovered Lavigne singing in a Kingston Chapters
bookstore in December 1999 and later steered her to a $1-million-plus,
two-album deal with Arista Records. He took a year off when he abruptly
parted ways with the Napanee now-superstar after she recorded her
monster hit, Complicated, in May 2001. It's a split neither side will
discuss.
But by last September Fabri was out looking again and wandered into the
Kingston Fair, where he first spotted Colborne Grade 9 student Samantha
Moore.
Fabri and his business partner, former Arista (Records) rep Ken
Krongard, soon started introducing Moore and her talent to anyone who
would meet them. She got, and kept, the attention of Geffen Records
exec Jimmy Iovine and other bigwigs in the industry. Now Moore has an
agreement on a one-record deal worth more, on a record-to-record basis,
than Lavigne's, says Fabri.
If Moore gets anywhere with her album, comparisons to Lavigne will be inevitable.
But Moore sounds nothing like Lavigne, having developed her pipes from
lessons taken since the age of seven. This is no trash-talking,
high-school dropout, skater-type chick either. Though she dreams of
being famous, this straight-A student writes poetry and plans to
graduate.
For now, Moore is just happy some of the best in the business have taken her under their wing."
