Installation of Rideau Canal Skateway chalets this weekend

Sections of Colonel By Drive and Queen Elizabeth Driveway will be temporarily closed to traffic this weekend to complete the installation of the Rideau Canal Skateway chalets.
Closures on Saturday, October 27, 2012
Colonel By Drive — 7 am to 4 pm: northbound and southbound lanes between Daly Avenue and Hawthorne Road.
Colonel By Drive — 2 pm to 6 pm: northbound and southbound lanes between Bronson Avenue and Hog’s Back Road.
Closures on Sunday, October 28, 2012
Queen Elizabeth Driveway — 7 am to 2 pm: northbound and southbound lanes between Fifth Avenue and Bank Street
Colonel By Drive — 12 pm to 6 pm: northbound and southbound lanes between Bronson Avenue and Hog’s Back Road.
* Note: This closure will take place only if the installation of chalets along Colonel By Drive is not completed on Saturday.
The National Capital Commission (NCC) urges the public to exercise caution and respect flagmen, signage and traffic cones in place.
