new CFL team in Ottawa?
In March 2008, the CFL granted a conditional franchise to an Ottawa
group that includes 67's owner Jeff Hunt. The group is now accepting
$25 deposits for to reserve a seat -- and show your support for a
new franchise.

pools, open free for kids during the summer from the end of June to

Tennis All you need is luv: We've been playing tennis in Ottawa at least
since the 1870's, when the game was first played on the ground of Rideau
Hall. Today, there are dozens of courts and hundreds of players who
take part in the game. If you're a fan of the game, you'll want to check

Volleyball Spike! Each year, thousands of volleyball players take
part in the HOPE Volleyball BeachFest
at Mooney's Bay. It's an annual tournament that raises funds for local

Everest 2004
Algonquin College has teamed up with several local high tech companies
to build a web site that keeps track of local adventurer Ben Webster's
climb to the top of Mount Everest. The site features a GPS climb tracker,
images from the climb, a diary, and more.
