Snake Island Road from Grey’s Creek Road to Bank Street will be closed for two weeks for culvert replacement

The City of Ottawa will excavate and replace a culvert on Snake Island Road between Scrivens Drive and Bank Street over a period of two weeks, starting Tuesday February 16.

The culvert, just east of Scrivens Drive, will require the full closure of Snake Island Road (open to local traffic only), between Grey’s Creek Road and Bank Street.

All traffic will be detoured via Grey’s Creek Road, Stone School Road and Bank Street. Watch for portable variable message signs in the area.

The Snake Island Road culvert renewal project is an Ottawa on the Move project. Ottawa on the Move is about keeping our community and economy moving forward through strategic investments in a number of transportation, water, and sewer projects to build a better city and create jobs.
