Second cyclist injured in a collision this week

Paramedics responded to a call for a collision between an SUV and a cyclist that occurred near the intersection of Ogilvie and Cyrville roads. The Ottawa Paramedic Service Communications Centre received the call at 09:54 hrs today (Tuesday August 30, 2016).

Paramedics treated a male cyclist believed to be in his late 50s or early 60s for life-threatening head injuries. The man was unconscious when paramedics arrived at scene and remained so at his arrival at hospital. He is in critical condition in hospital. Witnesses provided first aid and monitored the man’s breathing until paramedic arrived.
