The Rosemount branch of the Ottawa Public Library (OPL) is celebrating its 100th anniversary! This centennial anniversary marks a major milestone for the busy, popular branch serving the Hintonburg community through programs, cultural events, and activities that bring people in the neighbourhood together.

The celebrations are taking place on ** Saturday, April 21 from 10 am to 5 pm, ** at the Rosemount branch, located at 18 Rosemount Avenue.

The original West Library of the OPL, the Rosemount branch stands as the oldest library in Ottawa. Large windows illuminate a beautiful heritage library; an original Carnegie Library, Rosemount has all the modern features of a public library in an old-world setting, and is fully connected to the digital and physical collections of one of Canada’s leading public libraries. Close to schools, the Library is a prime destination for homework resources. OPL’s Rosemount branch works with local organizations to deliver services and exciting programming that meet the needs of its diverse community.

All are welcome to join in this centennial celebration of the Rosemount branch’s role at the heart of the community. OPL customers of all ages will enjoy meeting friends and neighbours at this special celebration filled with activities, refreshments, music, and much more!
