Road closures for Ottawa Race Weekend May 28-29

Ottawa, May 24, 2016 – Residents in Ottawa-Gatineau can expect road closures this upcoming weekend as tens of thousands of runners take to the streets for Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend.
 Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend is taking place this weekend – May 28-29, 2016.

Using the interactive maps, residents and visitors will be able to see which roads are closed at which times over the weekend.

The biggest impact will be felt around Ottawa City Hall, which serves as the Start and Finish lines for all events.

Note that the NOKIA Sunday Bikedays is cancelled on Colonel By Drive, Sir John A. Macdonald Parkway and Sir George-Étienne Cartier Parkway on Sunday, May 29, to make way for runners.

About the Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend 

The 2016 Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend is expected to welcome 47,000 participants in six races, including the Scotiabank Ottawa Marathon, the Scotiabank Half-Marathon, the Ottawa 10K, the HTG Sports 5K, the 2K and Scotiabank Kids Marathon. The Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend is one of only two running events in the world to host two IAAF Gold Label races – the Ottawa 10K and the Scotiabank Ottawa Marathon.
