Repaving underway on Ogilvie Road

East-end motorists will get a smooth ride the length of Ogilvie Road this fall, and pedestrians will find the sidewalks more inviting and accessible. Curb-to-curb repaving and replacement or repair of curbs and sidewalks are underway, and the work is scheduled to be finished by August 31, weather permitting.

To minimize traffic impact, there will be no lane reductions in peak hours on weekdays (7 to 9 a.m. westbound and 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. eastbound). At least one lane in each direction will be open at all times. Pedestrian access will be maintained, with some short-term rerouting around the active work areas, and bus stops may be moved to accommodate paving and curb work.

Repaving Ogilvie Road is part of Ottawa on the Move, which is about keeping our community and economy moving forward through strategic investments in a number of transportation, water, and sewer projects to build a better city and create jobs.
