Rene Trim's Art & Crafts: Upcoming events for November 28 and 29

Due to a hectic workload I had to skip a week or two but, starting today, I will be back with my weekly look at our local art and craft scene. Needless to say that with Hanukkah and  Christmas coming up in only a few weeks, the “Christmas Craftshow Frenzy” is in full swing. Kemptville – St. Michael High School

9:30 am to 4 pm

It’s the 16th Annual St. Michael CHS Christmas Craft Show! 160 tables of crafters, artisans, bakers, chefs and more! Food court and great door prizes. $2 admission or food bank donation of equal value.

Ottawa – Westboro Legion

10 am to 4 pm

The Christmas Craft and Artisan Show at the Westboro Legion (389 Richmond Road) features 40 local artisans. Free event.

10 am to 4 pm daily

Don’t miss the 4th annual Christmas Craft Show, presented by the Capital Artisans Guild. The event features 45 of the area’s best artisans offering juried hand-made items that are sure to please. Swag bag of goodies for the first 25 visitors each day! The show takes place on November 28 and 29 at Sir Robert Borden High School, 131 Greenbank Road in Nepean. Doors are open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. Parking and admission are free, but visitors are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items or make a donation for the Ottawa Food Bank. The OVCC Artisans @ the Archives welcomes the holiday season with a celebration of the work of some of the best artists and artisans from across Ottawa, The Valley and The Outaouais. Our shows are renowned for bringing an exciting variety of art, crafts, designs and artisan foods together in a unique venue, and “Joy!”, our 2015 Christmas Market,  will be no exception. Here’s why you don’t want to miss it:

Swag bags loaded with goodies for the first 50 visitors daily!

A $5 gift certificate - redeemable at any of the 100 vendors - handed out EVERY 10 MINUTES to visitors brave enough to wear a REALLY ugly Christmas or Hanukkah sweater!
