RE-BLOG: 1942 colour film of Ottawa (VIDEO)

_ OttawaStart is on a short summer haitus this week, so we’re re-posting some of our favourite posts from the past few years.  This one was originally published on January 7, 2009 on David Reevely’s excellent Greater Ottawa blog. _

David Reevely blogged about this video - a 1942 “travelogue” about Ontario, including about 5 minutes of colour footage of Ottawa’s downtown. It’s pretty rare to see colour photos of Ottawa from this era, and even rarer still to see video.
