Police seek witnesses to a serious collision involving a bike on Knudson Drive in Kanata

_ (press release via Ottawa Police) _ The Ottawa Police Service Collisions Investigation Unit is investigating a serious collision involving an elderly male cyclist and a large commercial vehicle.

On Tuesday, May 17th, 2016 at approximately 7:20am, a 79 year old male cyclist traveling northbound on Knudson Drive and a large garbage truck also driving northbound collided near the intersection of Shrek Crescent.

The cyclist was transported to hospital with life threatening injuries, later upgraded to serious but stable condition.

The Collision Investigators are looking for any witnesses including witnesses who may have already spoken to first responders at the scene.
