Plan your outfit for Soccer Day in Ottawa

In celebration of the FIFA Women’s World Cup Canada 2015™ tournament currently taking place in Ottawa, Thursday, June 11 has been proclaimed Soccer Day in Ottawa.

Residents are encouraged to wear soccer apparel this Thursday to show team spirit and to support the players. If you don’t have team apparel, consider wearing red and white in support of Canada, or the colours of your favourite team.

The FIFA Women’s World Cup Canada 2015™ is being played across Canada until July 5. Nine games, including one quarter-final game, will be played in Ottawa at Lansdowne Stadium.

On Thursday, in Ottawa, Germany will play Norway and Côte d’Ivoire will take on Thailand. Canada will also play a game that day, against New Zealand, at Commonwealth Stadium in Edmonton.
