A hero’s welcome for Olympic champions Erica Wiebe and Natasha Watcham-Roy Tuesday morning at the Ottawa airport.

Wiebe, of Stittsville, had won a gold medal in wrestling. Watcham-Roy hails from Gatineau and won a bronze in  rugby sevens.

A large contingent awaited Wiebe, including residents from her hometown, mayor Jim Watson and west-end councillors Shad Qadri and Marianne Wilkinson.
