PHOTOS: Adàwe crossing public artwork unveiled

On Saturday, Mayor Jim Watson, Rideau-Vanier Councillor Mathieu Fleury and Rideau-Rockcliffe Councillor Tobi Nussbaum were joined by local artist ** Kenneth Emig ** for a celebration of the recently installed public artwork, ** A View from Two Sides. ** The artwork was commissioned by the City of Ottawa Public Art Program for the Adàwe crossing Pedestrian Bridge , and consists of two large reflective spheres, 1.5-metres in diameter on either side of the bridge.

“They’re meant to reflect and connect the shores to the skies to the river to the people passing by,” says Emig.
