NEW: Nov. 11-Dec. 4: 31st European Union Film Festival
Founded in 1984, the European Union Film Festival (EUFF) is an annual showcase of the best of contemporary cinema produced in the European Union. Over the span of four weekends, the Canadian Film Institute brings Ottawa audiences a wide selection of award-winning films from the Festival circuit, never-before-seen in the capital city.

The vision for this project is the establishment of a women-owned craft brewery in Rwanda. We will be donating $1 off every purchased bottle of Beau’s!

2016 marks the 400th anniversary of William Shakespeare’s death and we chose to mark it with this play, which features Shakespeare as the main character. Equivocation is a play about telling the truth in difficult times. Indeed, it poses this intriguing question: What if the government commissioned William Shakespeare to write the definitive history of a national crisis, the Gunpowder Plot, in one of his plays?

As part of SAW Video’s 35th Anniversary celebrations, we will be looking back at the fruits of their JumpstART grants by presenting a retrospective screening of 15 distinct debut films, with works produced as far back as 1987 (the year the grant was introduced) and as recently as 2015, effectively covering a span of 28 years in media art history.

Come and enjoy a night of excellence as the Barbados (Ottawa) Association Inc. celebrates their 50th anniversary along with the 50th anniversary of Barbados’ Independence. The event will be held at the Centurion Conference Centre from 6:00 pm to 2:00 am. Entertainment will include the Mighty Grynner direct from Barbados as well as a performance by the Dance Caribe Performing company. Music provided by DJ David Supersounds and DJ Selekta Shellz.
