Mirror Mountain Film Festival returns for its second edition at Arts Court Theatre this December 2 – 4 with an eclectic and exciting selection of screenings, performances, panels and parties.

Dec. 3 – Santa stops by Stittsville

Stop by the Goulbourn Recreation Complex Saturday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. for gingerbread cookie decorating, face painting and a visit from Santa.

Dec. 3 – Howliday Pet Portraits

The Ottawa Paw Pantry is hosting a holiday fundraiser this weekend (December 3) at Masters ‘n Dogs in Westboro. Join the great photographer Leslie Yeow as your pets get the opportunity to meet Santa, find out if they’re on the naughty or nice list, and get a few great shots ready for the fireplace mantle.

100% of the proceeds benefit the Ottawa Paw Pantry.


Until Dec. 3  – Welfarewell at the Gladstone Theatre

Welfarewell follows Esmerelda, an 80 year old Shakespearean actress, who is struggling to make ends meet. When her beloved cat, Merlin, dies, she can only bury him in the backyard but is stopped by her objectionable landlord. He has her arrested and she spends a night in jail … which comes with heat, food, a place to sleep, etc. Hmmmm! How to stay longer? Rob a bank??

Until Dec. 4 – 31st European Union Film Festival

Founded in 1984, the European Union Film Festival (EUFF) is an annual showcase of the best of contemporary cinema produced in the European Union. Over the span of four weekends, the Canadian Film Institute brings Ottawa audiences a wide selection of award-winning films from the Festival circuit, never-before-seen in the capital city.

Dec. 1-11 – Disney’s the Little Mermaid on stage

For the first time in Ottawa, Disney’s The Little Mermaid will be presented as a fully-staged production.
