Band starts at 7pm, Dance performance starts at 7:30pm. Pay-what-you-can, BYO chairs and blankets. Feeling moved? Check out the Dusk Dances Ottawa workshops! Saturday, July 7 in Strathcona Park, Yoga with Amelia Griffin (all levels): 12noon to 1pm. Flamenco with Juliana Pulford (no experience necessary): 1:30pm-3pm Pay-what-you-can.

** Thursday-Saturday, July 5-8: NAC Orchestra: The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring in Concert ** The NAC Orchestra is performing Howard Shore’s Oscar-winning score from the Lord of the Rings movie. The NAC is encouraging guests to come in costume as their favourite Lord of the Rings character, and they’re setting up a “Middle Earth tavern” in the main foyer.

I want to catch a free “ Movie on the Beach ” at Westboro Beach. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II is scheduled to start at dusk—bring some mosquito repellent and some lawn chairs!

** July 8: Roof Gardens Walking Tour **

Heritage Ottawa offers an opportunity to check out one of Ottawa’s first roof gardens, atop the Rideau Centre and National Arts Centre. It boasts 200 trees, 1.5 km of pathways, and great views of the city. Guide is David Jeanes; meet at the Rideau Centre Theatres at 2 p.m.
