** ** Saturday, June 1 and Sunday, June 2: Doors Open Ottawa **

Be sure to check out Doors Open Ottawa. It’s an opportunity to see inside buildings that are normally closed to the public. Historic residences, art studios, embassies, churches, green buildings, a water filtration plant, a greenhouse, radio and TV stations—there’s something for everyone. It’s free, but check the schedule to see what’s open when. (On Sunday at 1 p.m., there’s a tour of the University of Ottawa’s new eco-friendly Faculty of Social Sciences building, and don’t miss the beautiful new Wabano Centre for Aboriginal Health designed by Douglas Cardinal.) **
