** Thursday, July 23 - August 19: World Press Photo 15 ** With around 100 local exhibitions produced every year, the World Press Photo exhibition tour of prize-winning photographs is the most popular traveling photo event in the world. _ – Laura Gauthier _ ** Thursday-Sunday, July 23-July 25: Fortissimo ** Fortissimo is a musical and military spectacular performed on the main lawn of Parliament Hill. The event will kick off with a sonic picnic featuring DJs Cloak & Dagger, and will be followed by the panel “Art Making after the Internet – A conversation with media artists Lorna Mills (Toronto) and Matthew Williamson (Ottawa), moderated by independent curator and critic Anna Khimasia (Ottawa)”. Hosted by PDA Projects, the event will officially announce the countdown the 4th edition of Nuit Blanche Ottawa Gatineau and will allow people to meet the artists and everyone that will be part of NBOG 2015 HYPE/FRÉNÉSIE.
