Ottawa's worst roads, ranked (2018 edition)

CAA has released its annual list of the worst roads in Ontario. While Ottawa roads didn’t crack the top 10, we have a few perennial winners for the local top five:

  1. Carling Avenue
  2. Mitch Owens Road
  3. Hunt Club Road
  4. West Hunt Club Road
  5. Saint Joseph Boulevard

Some Ottawa roads also made the top 10 worst for north and Eastern Ontario:

  1. Letts Cemetery Road, Eganville, Ontario
  2. Maley Dr., Sudbury
  3. Lorne Street, Sudbury
  4. Carling Ave., Ottawa
  5. Nelson Street, Pembroke
  6. Mitch Owens Road, Ottawa
  7. Hunt Club Road, Gloucester
  8. Boundary Road East, Pembroke
  9. Marshall Avenue East, North Bay
  10. West Hunt Club Road, Nepean

CAA releases the list, based on public voting, every year to shame governments into improving conditions. One of the top reasons a road is voted worst is due to potholes – so it’s no wonder Carling comes out on top.
