Ottawa's best eggrolls, besides Golden Palace

On Monday night I asked OttawaStart’s Twitter followers to choose Ottawa’s best eggrolls. As predicted, Golden Palace on Carling was the runaway winner, but here are some other recommendations, in alphabetical order:

• Charlie Chan (Innes)
• Hung Fatt (Montreal Rd.)
• Lucky Key (Carling)
• Rideau Restaurant (Eagleson)
• Ruby Inn (Bank)
• Wong’s Palace (Carling)
• Also: List of Ottawa Chinese restaurants from Restaurant Thing.

So, although Ottawa has a ton of Chinese Food restaurants, only 7 were picked as “best of Ottawa” in our totally unscientific survey. And three of them are on Carling Avenue. I think Carling should be forever known as “Egg Roll Avenue”. Any mayoral candidates want to take that one up?
