Ottawa Insights bringing top speakers and tangible motivation to the city

Ottawa, ON – Ottawa will soon have a new series of events to bring together the top business minds in the area and beyond, while providing tangible motivation and the intuitions of many sectors of the economy. The inaugural event will happen Friday, May 1 at the Ottawa Marriott, complete with an afternoon of insightful speakers before an early night of networking.

“There was a void of quality events that brought together all sectors of Ottawa’s business community,” said Eric Collard, Managing Partner of the Ottawa Media Group (OMG) and Summit producer. “And with OMG’s corporate motto to mean business and have fun doing it, you can be sure this will be an informative and fun first-class event.”

The afternoon will feature prominent speakers including online advocate Brent Mondoux, Parliament Hill insider Tim Powers, Cirque du Soleil sports psychologist JF Ménard and entrepreneur & WXN Top 100 Women recipient Janice McDonald. It will be followed by a 3-hour long informal networking event hosted by Savvy Company featuring exciting and enticing local food and drink in the Marriott’s Summitt Room overlooking the region.

“As an entrepreneur, I’m always looking for opportunities to learn and connect with the rest of the community,” said conference partner Stephanie Karlovits from EPIC Fitness. “This will give 150 of Ottawa’s finest an incredible opportunity to do so in an enjoyable and casual setting with breath-taking views.”

To align with the OMG philosophy, the event will act as a fundraiser for SchoolBOX, a local non-profit helping make education possible in Nicaragua while involving local community groups and youths. SchoolBOX is also one of the CTV Amazing People Gala’s recipient charities and one of Ottawa Media Group’s corporate charities.

“As business people we’re always busy with the immediate urgency,” added Collard, who will act at the Summit’s host. “This will give us a good time to take a step back and bring a fresh mindset to our businesses in the spring.”

Tickets are currently on sale with three options; A summit ticket for the early afternoon, a VIP reception only ticket and a VIP ticket that encompasses it all. Early bird specials are in effect until March 31.
