OC Transpo winter service changes include Transitway extension to Moodie

OC Transpo wants you to know about a whole slew service changes that take effect on Christmas Eve as part of the changeover to its winter schedules.  New routes, new route numbers changes to route names, and an extension of the western Transitway from Bayshore to Moodie.

Via OC Transpo:

  • New routes and route extensions will add service to growing communities:
    • Wateridge (New routes 17 and 27)
    • Abbotsville Crossing (Route 252)
    • Blackstone (Route 167)
    • Cardinal Creek Village (Route 221)
    • Chapel Hill South (Route 225)
    • Avalon South (Route 236)
    • Findlay Creek (Route 294)
    • General Hospital and CHEO (Route 45)

  • All Signs Point to 2018: we are continuing to introduce new route numbers
  • Many Connexion routes get new clearer homebound destination names
  • Current Confederation O-Train Station (#3063) becomes Mooney’s Bay Station

OC Transpo new route numbers

The Transitway will be extended west to Moodie Station at Moodie and Corkstown by the end of 2017:

  • Improved connections to Carling Campus
  • Changes to Routes 61, 62, 63, 64, 101, 103, 158, 252, 261, 262, 263, 264, 265, 267, 268, 269, 301, 303, 402, 404, 406, 454, 660 and 661

We have made adjustments to meet our customers’ changing needs.

  • Increased frequency on Routes 63, 64, and 252
  • Adjusted schedules on the following routes: 12, 24, 44, 61, 63, 64, 91, 93, 94, 95, 97, 167, 234, 235, 277, 661, 681

A special holiday service will be in place from Dec. 24 to Jan. 5.

Improved service from Hurdman to the Ottawa Hospital General Campus (on new Route 45).

New school route to Collège catholique Mer Bleue (Route 634) in Orléans South.
