OC Transpo Strike 2008

It’s just after 9:30pm, and all signs are pointing towards a transit strike. Combined with a winter storm on its way, Ottawa is heading towards a traffic armageddon on Wednesday morning. Here’s a round-up of some news and notes from the web today.

 *
[
 OttawaCitizen.com
](http://www.ottawacitizen.com/)
has the most coverage of any online source. At least a dozen articles linked from the main page, under the headline

 "
 [
  Prepare for a transit strike, city and union warn
 ](http://www.ottawacitizen.com/Business/Prepare+transit+strike+city+union+warn/1048989/story.html)
 ".

 *
[
 CTV's web site
](http://ottawa.ctv.ca/)
features a
[
 video interview with transit union president Andre Cornellier
](http://watch.ctv.ca/news/clip120101#clip120101)
. It's a rather brutal example of how

 not

to do PR.

 *
Lots of reader feedback on
[
 CBC's web site
](http://www.cbc.ca/canada/ottawa/story/2008/12/09/ot-081209-strike.html)
. Their latest update on the strike situation has spawned nearly 200 comments from readers. Lots and lots of blame being thrown around to all sides.

 *
The City of Ottawa posted a copy of

they presented to the transit union.

The potential strike was the #1 topic among local bloggers today. Some highlights:
