Ottawa’s first roller derby league, Ottawa Roller Derby (ORD) offers its members a supportive, welcoming environment. We encourage personal bests, value sportsmanship and safe play, and create a family atmosphere. From learning to skate, to skills development, to scrimmaging, ORD turns “Fresh Meat” into seasoned flat-track skaters. Our recreational home team program offers you fun, fitness and camaraderie. We're a player-owned and -operated incorporated business managed by a volunteer board of directors and committees drawn from the membership. This summer, ORD is showcasing it's on-track talent with THREE full-contact home games held in Ottawa: July 11 - Against Providence Roller Derby's Killah Bees July 18 - Against Quebec's Les Buches Aug 8 - Against Renfrew County Roller Derby's Valley Valkyries (this bout is a special fundraiser for Matthew the Brave - Stay tuned for more info!) All home bouts take place at Bernard Grandemaitre Arena, 309 McArthur Road, in Vanier. Doors open at 6:30pm, the first whistle blows at 7:00pm, and games will end around 9:00pm. We will be selling ORD merchandise all night long, our sponsors will be there selling their awesome derby gear, and Bicycle Brewery will be keeping you refreshed with selections of their finest beer!
