Lane reductions on King Edward Avenue to impact travel on the Macdonald-Cartier Bridge

Starting January 13, 2015, lane reductions during off-peak hours will affect vehicular traffic between Ottawa and Gatineau on the Macdonald-Cartier Bridge. These lane reductions are required to complete some construction activities on the Sussex Drive overpass at King Edward Avenue.

The lane reductions in the Ottawa to Gatineau direction are scheduled from January 13 to 16 during daytime off-peak hours, while the lane reductions in the Gatineau to Ottawa direction are scheduled the following week from January 19 to 22 during the evening and night.

This work is part of the Sussex Drive Integrated Road, Sewer and Watermain Rehabilitation Project , which is an Ottawa on the Move initiative, scheduled to be completed in the summer of 2015. Ottawa on the Move is about keeping our community and economy moving forward through strategic investments in a number of transportation, water, and sewer projects to build a better city and create jobs.
