Lane reductions on Innes Road begin Monday

Beginning Monday, April 27 there will be lane reductions on Innes Road between Highway 417 and Blair Road. These lane reductions are required to construct an additional eastbound lane on Innes Road from the Highway 417 off-ramp to Blair Road. The construction will be completed in September.

Innes Road will be reduced to two lanes in the eastbound direction most of the day. Three lanes of traffic will be open during the afternoon to accommodate peak period traffic.

The widening of Innes Road will increase capacity for eastbound traffic by providing an additional through lane between the Highway 417 west off-ramp and Blair Road during Confederation Line construction.

Motorists and cyclists should anticipate traffic delays and are advised to practice extra caution while following the directional signage around the construction zone. OC Transpo service and pedestrian access will be maintained throughout construction.

Commuters should plan ahead and check their route with the up-to-the-minute information available on the Travel and Mobility web page or the Ottawa NAV mobile app. For the most up-to-date information, please check Twitter and ottawa.ca .
