La Nouvelle Scène added to the 2016 Ottawa Fringe Festival map

_ (press release) _ Studio “B” at the newly constructed ** La Nouvelle Scène ** (333 King Edward Ave.) has been booked as an official venue for the ** 20th Ottawa Fringe Festival ** . This space has capacity for 80 seats.

“Official” venues are venues rented by the Ottawa Fringe and then programmed by an annual lottery. The performers keep 100% of their ticket sales. The Festival also accepts Bring Your Own Venue (BYOV) submissions. ** Confirmed venues ** for the 2016 Ottawa Fringe Festival are:

 *
**
 Arts Court Theatre
**
(2 Daly Ave.)

 *
**
 ODD Box
**
(2 Daly Ave.)

 *
**
 Academic Hall
**
(133 Séraphin-Marion Pvt.)

 *
**
 Studio Léonard-Beaulne
**
(135 Séraphin-Marion Pvt.)

 *
**
 La Nouvelle Scène
**
(333 King Edward Ave.)

Expect the number of venues to double with BYOVs.

Fringe regulars are likely excited by the omission of ** Arts Court Library ** from that list. And they have a reason to be! The Library is changing during construction of the ** Arts Court redevelopment ** and Ottawa Art Gallery expansion, and won’t work as a Fringe venue… some would say never did.

In the new tower will be several theatre-specific and multi-purpose rooms. It’s gonna be heaven for Fringe fans and artists.

Mark your calendars for the ** 20th Ottawa Fringe Festival: ** ** June 15–26, 2016 ** . Online and in print, the official program will be announced in May when passes go on sale.

Donors get their print program and Fringe Pin in the mail. For info → ** ottawafringe.com/patrons ** .

107 days until Fringe! See you soon.
