Juno Weekend (April 4-6)
While the big show is the awards ceremony on Sunday night, there will
be many other events taking place in Ottawa and Gatineau.
- JUNO Fest – Friday, April 4th & Saturday, April 5th. Canadian music hits the streets of Ottawa-Gatineau with a multi-venue
showcase of over 80 local, regional and national acts. Nightly line-ups
will typically feature three or four acts per venue with established
and developing artists sharing the stage.
- JUNO Fan Fare - Saturday, April 5th 11:30 am - 3:30 pm. Juno
Award nominees meet with fans at St. Laurent Shopping Centre.
- Songwriters Circle – Sunday, April 6th 1:30 pm. Songwriters
representing diverse genres and musical eras will come together on
stage at the NAC Theatre for an intimate afternoon concert event in
support of Band Aid
- JUNO Parade - Sunday, April 6th 11:00am - 1:00pm. From Gatineau
to Ottawa, featuring Shawn Desman, K-os and Rascalz.
- Rush the Vote street party - Sunday, April 6th 4:00pm - 7:00pm.
A pre-broadcast street party on Rideau Street.
- Party Central - Sunday, April 6th, 6:30pm-3:00am. At the
Union Station in downtown Ottawa (on Rideau Street, across from the
ChatĂȘau Laurier Hotel). Hosted by the City of Ottawa, featuring DJ
Chris Sheppard and live performances by some of Ottawa's best local
talent.

Are there any Ottawa nominees?
Yes. Kathleen Edwards and Lynn Miles are competing against
eachother in the roots and traiditional, solo category. Pianist Angela Hewitt is nominated for classical album of the year,
solo or chamber ensemble.
The Performers
The Juno Awards show will include performances by Canadian acts such
as:
