JOEY Lansdowne Opening on Saturday, April 11

JOEY Lansdowne is officially opening as a dining destination in Lansdowne Park on Saturday, April 11. With this opening, Ottawa will see a casual dining experience new to the city with a globally inspired menu, selection of award-winning wines and array of hand-crafted cocktails.

JOEY Lansdowne will feature a refined modern industrial aesthetic, balanced by materials that lend a sense of warmth. With an open kitchen, equipped with a sushi station, guests will be able to see the culinary team in action at all times. Central to the restaurant is an open bar, a visual focal point, where fresh juice is pressed and cocktails are crafted. High definition television screens drop down from the ceiling for games.

Executive Chef Chris Mills combines his classic culinary training with a passion for travel, global cuisine, and regionally sourced ingredients. Guests at JOEY Lansdowne can select from casual classics like the hand pressed burger, to more globally inspired dishes like the signature sushi cone.

“When I travel, I source traditional ingredients, flavours, and preparation techniques,” says Chef Chris Mills. “I work with them in my test kitchen until perfected for the JOEY menu. I cannot wait to bring these dishes to JOEY Lansdowne.”

Although the doors are not yet open, the JOEY Lansdowne team has been busy behind the scenes preparing not only for the opening but finding other ways to support the city.

“We have been getting to know the community as we prepare to open,” said Regional Manager, Andrew Nasr, “we had a lot of fun working with the Mayor to bring Cup of Care to Ottawa and we look forward to continuing to support the city through different initiatives both inside and outside the restaurant.”

“We have also had a lot of fun getting to know the culinary community,” said Brady Kinnell, Regional Chef, “we look forward to working with the culinary schools and aiding young talent in receiving their Red Seal Certification through our apprenticeship program.”

JOEY Lansdowne officially opens its doors at 5:00pm on Saturday, April 11. Once open, they will be serving lunch and dinner seven days a week in Lansdowne Park, across from TD Place. In the meantime, follow all their updates on Facebook at “JOEY Lansdowne” as well as Twitter and Instagram: @JOEYLansdowne.
