It was really wet yesterday

Saturday was Ottawa’s wettest day since June 24, 2014.

It was also the wettest August 13 since weather records began in 1872.

Yup, it was indeed a record-breaking day, with 74.1 millimetres of rain reported at Environment Canada’s Experimental Farm station.

Usually weather is recorded at the Ottawa Airport, where the rain clocked in at a lower, yet impressive, 37 millimetres.
