Insights back with top speakers and tangible motivation for Ottawa and beyond

In less than a monththe region will welcome back the Ottawa Insights Business Summit, a new series of events to bring together top local business leaders in a fun and informal setting.  Even if this year’s event will be held down the street at Zibi Canada’s Gatineau location, it promises to be an afternoon of insightful speakers before an elongated and entertaining networking session.

“We’re thrilled with our line-up of speakers and the partners who have already come on board,” said Eric Collard, Managing Partner of the Ottawa Media Group (OMG) and Insights founder. “We received amazing feedback after last year’s event, we’re just looking to make it bigger and better.”

The Friday, May 6 edition of the Summit will feature three speakers with Ottawa’s Mayor, Jim Watson, also providing remarks. Speakers include Stoked Oats founder and star of the TV show Boundless Simon Donato, worldwide top ten sales trainer Bob Urichuck and local fundraising star Sam Laprade.

“We’re very excited to partner with Zibi Canada, since their philosophy of the triple bottom line totally aligns with ours,” said conference producer Theresa Smith of OMG. “This will give 150 of Ottawa’s finest an incredible opportunity to experience the facility in an enjoyable and casual setting.”

The conference portion will be followed by a 3-hour long informal mingling session hosted by Savvy Company’s Debbie Trenholm including food and drink, and plenty of conversation. The VIP reception will also feature fun stations where attendees can find out more about local brands including Marshes Golf Club, Mulligan’s Golf Bar and Equator Coffee.

As with most OMG events, it will raise funds and awareness for SchoolBOX, a local non-profit helping make education possible in Nicaragua while involving local community groups and youths. SchoolBOX is one of Ottawa Media Group’s four corporate charities.

“We’re glad to be able to give back to a cool local charity, it’s virtually engrained in the OMG brand,” added Collard, who will once again act at the Summit’s host. “This event will provide education and at the same time bring a fresh mindset to all of our businesses in the spring.”

Tickets are currently on sale with two options; A VIP ticket that encompasses it all and a VIP reception only ticket. Tickets start at $50. For more information about the Summit and to purchase tickets go to ottawainsights2.eventbrite.ca .
