Kilrea
In 2003, Brian Kilrea earned his 1,000th win as coach of the Ottawa
67's. Kilrea is the winningest coach in junior hockey history. He
will be inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in November, 2003.
Bell Sensplex
This $25.6 million project is a private-public partnership that will
include three NHL-sized ice rinks, one Olympic-sized ice rink and
a multi-use field house. It's scheduled to open in December 2004 —
not a moment too soon for local hockey teams looking for scarce ice
time.
