Highway 417 construction from Anderson to Limoges begins Friday

Beginning on Friday, May 1, the highway underpass at Piperville Road will be closed to allow for the rehabilitation of the underpass and rehabilitation of 25 kilometres of Highway 417. This work is being done by Ontario’s Ministry of Transportation (MTO).

Construction will also include two new Bearbrook Creek bridges, rehabilitation of the Leitrim Road underpass, paving work on Anderson Road and the rehabilitation of the asphalt on Highway 417.

The Piperville Road underpass will remain closed until the end of October 2015. Detour signs are in place around the closure.

Motorists should also anticipate periodic lane reductions and ramp closures in the area throughout the summer and early fall. The majority of the lane reductions and ramp closures will occur at night.
