The dog days of summer are leaving us for 2018, so what better way to enjoy what’s left than a good old-fashioned block party? Luckily there’s quite a few planned in Ottawa soon!
All of Ramsgrange Street will be closed for this event in Barrhaven on Aug. 18 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be face painting for kids, a beer garden, five food trucks and some vendors as well.
This is an auto-themed party! Drop by 7 Cleopatra Dr. on Aug. 18 any time to check out a selection of supercars, track cars, drift builds, show cars, hot-rods, choppers and lots more.
Come out and meet your neighbours on Aug. 25 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Monroe and Sudbury Avenues. There will be a BBQ and non-alcoholic beverages provided by the QTSR Community Association.
Share in this community party Aug. 25 from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. with a potluck, all-ages open mic and a show-and-tell. Neighbours are encouraged to bring food, cold drinks along with “jovial conversation” and laughter!
The Night Market on Fox is celebrating the last market of the season Aug. 31 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a block party. Enjoy musical performances, food, vendors and a silent auction. Neighbours are encouraged to bring donations for the Bethany Hope Centre.
