Greenbank Road reopened temporarily

Greenbank Road will remain closed this evening and through the night between Malvern Drive and Berrigan Drive/Wessex Road. Greenbank Road will temporarily reopen to vehicular traffic in both directions from 6:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, March 30, to allow for weekday traffic. After 8 p.m., this section of the roadway will close to complete additional activities on Greenbank Road and the temporary new rail crossing.

While the roadway is temporarily opened, flag persons and Ottawa Police Services will be on site. Motorists may experience delays. If possible, it is strongly suggested that commuters take transit.

Updates will be provided when available. Please check Twitter and ottawa.ca for the most up-to-date information. Motorists should plan ahead and check their route with the up-to-the-minute information available on the Travel and Mobility webpage or the Ottawa NAV mobile app.

This roadwork is required to complete additional activities to fully open the new Greenbank Road detour and the temporary new rail crossing. The City of Ottawa and VIA Rail Canada are working collaboratively together to complete this work quickly and safely.
