Gladstone Avenue partially reopens today between Bank Street and Elgin Street

Today, on Gladstone Avenue, between Bank Street and Elgin Street, one lane in each direction has reopened to vehicular and cycling traffic. OC Transpo bus route 14 has also been reinstated to normal routing.

 

Traffic is allowed one-way eastbound on Gladstone Avenue, from Elgin Street to Cartier Street. However, construction will continue on this block before a westbound cycling lane opens later this fall.

 

The Gladstone Avenue Reconstruction Project is an $11 million project to replace the existing combined sewer and watermain from Bank Street to Cartier Street, along with road reconstruction and other improvements to the roadway and sidewalks.
